Pork ribs in the oven with potatoes - a dish that can be prepared for both dinner and festive table. The meat turns out juicy, with a beautiful ruddy crust, and to taste is very similar to kebabs. The light aroma of garlic and Provencal herbs successfully complements the taste of the dish, and the caramel crust increases one's appetite with one's appearance, and it is very simple to prepare the dish according to a clear step-by-step recipe.

For roasting in the oven are ideal pork ribs with cartilage, which turn out extremely tasty, juicy and crispy. Larger ribs are also no less tasty with this recipe - the cooking technology remains exactly the same, but the baking time in the oven will need to be increased to 25 minutes.

Ingredients for cooking pork ribs in the oven with potatoes:

  • pork ribs - 700 g;
  • garlic - 2 tooth .;
  • salt - 1 tsp;
  • a mixture of ground peppers - 3 chips;
  • a mixture of Provencal herbs - 3 chips;
  • ketchup - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • honey - 0.5 tbsp;
  • vegetable oil - 0.5 tbsp.

Cooking pork ribs in the oven with potatoes

Wash the pork ribs in cold water and remove excess moisture with a paper towel. Cut the meat into portions along the ribs.

Add salt, pepper, a mixture of Provencal herbs and garlic, passed through a press. If desired, any other spices to taste can be added to the marinade for meat, as well as a little soy sauce (in this case, reduce the amount of salt). Spices seasoned with spices are left to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, covering the top with food film so that the meat does not wither.

Fry the marinated pork ribs from both sides to a confident golden crust in a hot red-hot frying pan greased with a small amount of vegetable oil. It is best to fry in a pan with a thick bottom, which perfectly keeps the heat.

In a small bowl we combine honey and ketchup. Instead of ketchup, you can use any other hot sauce, or simply dilute 1 tablespoon of tomato paste in 100 ml of water and add a couple of chili peppers.

Roast the meat spread on a baking sheet or in the form of lined with foil. From above, we generously lubricate the ribs with a mixture of sauce and honey so that a beautiful crust is formed during the baking process.
