Baked mackerel is a “comfortable” and healthy food! With little effort and time, you will have a decent lunch. Usually, this fish is baked entirely or without a head, in this recipe it is proposed to bake mackerel without bones, tail and head, only the sirloin. The main flavors of the dish are lime and fresh rosemary. It is this combination of mackerel, baked in the oven with lemon in foil, as a result gives the most pleasant aroma and taste. Ingredients for cooking mackerel, baked in the oven with lemon in foil (per 2 servings):
- Fresh-frozen mackerel - 2 pcs .;
- lemon or lime - 0.5 pcs .;
- rosemary - 3-4 sprigs;
- spices, salt - to your taste;
- foil - 40-50 cm
Recipe for mackerel baked in the oven with lemon in foil
Mackerel can be baked not only whole, but also dividing it into fillets! To do this, you first need to cut the fish: cut off the tail and head, clean the middle (cut the belly and gut the insides). Wash well prepared fish. Then, carefully cut the mackerel with a knife along the back, remove the bones, and leave the skin on.
Sprinkle with spices and salt mackerel fillets on both sides. Leave to soak for a while (no more than 10 minutes).
Then pour the fish with lime or lemon juice, give time to soak (2-3 minutes). Lime in comparison with lemon gives more sourness, therefore, if lime is used, then it can be taken only a few cloves, and if lemon, then about half of the whole ripe fruit.
